Pastor Steve grew up in Milwaukee. He was saved in his early teens at the end of the Jesus people Movement. He was disciples in a local church and felt a call to ministry. He went to Bible College in Iowa and Seminary near Washington D.C. where he earned a TH.M. in Theology and developed a love for Church history and the Biblical languages of Greek and Hebrews. He has graduate degrees in Church History as well. Steve has pastored 4 local churches and came to Oak Grove in 2006. He has also taught in Eastern Europe. He is married to Pam. They have a daughter, Sarah, who is married to Max Ray and lives in Ohio with Steve and Pam’s first grandchild- Samuel who was born in July 2017. They also have a son named Avery who lives in Columbia City, and works part time at the church doing the indoor custodial work. Steve is a huge Green Bay Packer fan and frequently torments the Bears fans in the congregation who return the favor!
Steve’s desire is that he and Pam be used to help people “grow in grace and knowledge of the lord Jesus” by any and every means possible.
