Christian Education- We have 2-3 adult classes on Sundays with at least one at each service. We also have children’s church during the 10:30 worship led by pastor Zach Shaffer. We have small groups during the week as well meeting at both the church building and at homes. Call Pastor Steve Johnson to find out a list. Various seminars and emphases are held throughout the year at various times. A young families ministry meets during the year as well, usually on Sunday evening.

Women- Currently 3 ladies studies are being conducted on Monday morning, Wednesday evening (private home) and Thursday Morning (young moms). A lady’s ministry has several trips and celebrations during the year as well.

Men- Oak Grove men, have discipleship classes, as well as fellowship events like Clay shoots, A Wild Game Dinner, and various sporting and hunting and fishing opportunities during the year.

Seniors- A weekly Bible Study is held on Wednesday mornings at 10 am for Seniors 55 and older. We also have trips and carry in lunches for fellowship.

Youth- A growing youth group meets weekly through the school year. They host and plan fellowship events and plan and go on mission trips. Currently they meet on Sunday Nights at 6 PM.

Children- Oak Grove has a vibrant and relevant children’s ministry. Children’s classes are held Sunday morning with other ministries held at various times including Parent’s Night Out, VBS, and various other events.

Fellowship Opportunities- Several times a year Oak Grove has all church fellowships like an Easter Breakfast, dinners and lunches and picnics and even a field trip now and then to the ARK Experience. Planning and implementation have room for those who feel gifted in this area.

Nurseries- An infant and a toddler nursery are staffed and available at the 10:30 am service. This is an area that many can serve in.

Camp- Oak Grove supports BEAR LAKE CAMP in the Wolfe Lake area. This ministry is for elementary-middle and high school youth.

Transportation- A van is used to pick up those who need it for services or outings. We have a team that oversees this ministry and are always looking for drivers and those who want to help with scheduling and upkeep.

Outreach- Many of our ministries do outreach into the community and several times a year come together for ministries like a prayer walk or a worship service and picnic near Labor Day at Miami Village Mobile Home Park in rural Columbia City. We also rent a local theater when a good family or spiritual film is being shown and we host the community free of charge for a showing.

Compassion 24/7 is a ministry which includes helping people who are ill, funeral dinners and other compassionate ministries. This is a great place to use spiritual gifts of care and mercy.

Welcome Ministries- Welcome ministries include the Coffee Table as well as Ushers, and Greeters. This is a ministry open to All ages.

Missions- Planning mission experiences and information is a big part of Oak Grove’s mission emphasis. Planning yearly missions informational services is a part of this ministry as well.

Prayer- A prayer chain is used for special needs. You can join this. A sheet with current prayer needs is maintained.

Opportunities to serve include all the above ministries as well as ministering to spiritual needs with the Elders and physical building upkeep with the Deacons. Several updates to the building and ground including a playground with special needs activities and access and new windows in the building are currently being planned and implemented.
